Moulin Rouge! The Musical (May 13th thru May 25th)

Moulin Rouge! The Musical is being produced in Austin, Texas in May 2025, for a production to be held at Bass Concert Hall of Austin! Get ready for the show that gives you a glimpse of the turn of the 20th century, and cry your hearts out over the love story that has made fans applaud for the past decades.

Originating from the previous 2001 movie adaptation directed by Baz Luhrmann, Moulin Rouge! The Musical highlights the Bohemian culture as it was lived out in one if its districts, Montmartre, Paris, and the sometimes contrasting and dark Bohemian and wealthy lifestyles. Amidst all of this, a forbidden love starts between the two leading characters Christian, a writer, and Satine, the performer of the famous nightclub Moulin Rouge. From its foundation on the silver screen to its debut on the live stage, Moulin Rouge has proceeded to draw in old fans and new theatre-goers alike.
